Are the spots limited? Can I register later?

Yes, there are limited spots for every event. You cannot register after the deadline.

How does registration work?

Registration for The Grand Escape Italy Slovenia will open on March 24 at 11:00 a.m. Berlin Time. You will need an account on bikeadventureseries.com, personal information, and a credit card.

Medical certificate

You don’t need any documentation to register. Two months before the start, you have to upload your medical certificate to your account. Here’s a template to give to your doctor.

Are the routes all on asphalt?

Yes, on secondary roads away from traffic, and on a lot of cycle paths and cycleway.

Are the finish and starting points different?

All routes are loops, so you will end at the same point you started.

What bike is better for The Grand Escape?

A road bike or an endurance bike is perfect. A gravel bike is a good choice due to its relaxed posture. We suggest up to 32-35cc tyers with a slick thread. Read more here.

Are there time limits and checkpoints?

No, you can complete the route as you prefer. Take 4 days, a week or a whole month: your pace is the right pace!

Where do I sleep? Where do I eat?

The Grand Escape’s events are unsupported, so you can plan your experience as you prefer. On all the routes there are plenty of accommodation and places where to eat. Check out the guide for more info.
